I started my 9-year Nike career in 2006 at the Nike Employee Store in Beaverton, OR. I asked someone once "what's the most comfortable shoe we sell"? Fast forward three jobs later to 2013 I was a footwear developer in a category dedicated to the everyday athlete. At that time I decided to start a silly IG about the highest selling training shoe in Nike history, the Air Monarch IV.
It started as a way to pass time, but also to highlight the team I was proud to work on. It's blown up to have quite the cult following, especially after the Complex article. Anyway, I love Monarchs and I'm quite proud of these.
Again, #hypebarista. I whip lattes in the all black pair all day no joke.
Shouts to the homies at Index Portland for the pics.
